National Junior Division Floorball Championship 2017

It was such an intense season with so many good teams filled with potential players. However in every tournament there will be only be 1 champion. The National Junior Division Floorball Championship 2017 has finally ended.

We witnessed the Junior Division Floorball Championship finals with all 4 teams fighting their hearts out for the championship. Girls Finals – Princess Elizabeth Primary vs Yew Tew Primary Boys Finals – Pasir Ris Primary vs Opera Estate Primary

Princess Elizabeth Primary (PEPS) put up a very good fight against Yew Tew Primary (YTPS). However YTPS made their presence felt as they brought the score line to 4-0 in the final period. With an almost fully occupied Multi-Purpose hall in Republic Polytechnic both teams started the game evenly. However after the first 2 goals scored by YTPS, PEPS took a notch off. This led to YTPS dictating more of the play which continued throughout the remainder of the game. There were a few glimpses of brilliance shown by PEPS during the last period to turn the game round, but YTPS proved too strong for their opponents and managed to seal off the game with another 2 goals. As for the Boys Finals, although Opera Estate Primary (OEPS) kick started the game with an opening goal, Pasir Ris Primary (PRPS) refused to settle with the score line of 1-0. Hence with their hard work and effort they came back with the score of 2-1. OEPS did not back down with the score line, they took lots of shots to test PRPS defense. And with great effort comes great reward, they managed to tie the score towards the end of the 2nd period. Both teams fought head to head for the last period which resulted in a penalty shoot out to decide the title for the Junior Division Floorball Championship 2017. As in every competition, there will only be one team who will walk away with the title trophy and in this years edition, OEPS won via penalties.
