Team Spotlight - RI Girls
It’s always interesting to reflect on our performance after every tournament, and there is so much we have gain after every competition. This week on our Team Spotlight, we have Raffles Institution Girls. We have with us Weening, one of the captain of the RI girls team. We simply asked Weening 3 questions and here is her response to our questions..

What is your team’s slogan?
Our team slogan is “ONE TEAM ONE DREAM.”
What values does your team uphold?
Our team values are Hunger, Trust and Discipline.
Tell us one thing you and your team have learnt from this 2016 season?
The most important element both my team and I have taken away from this season would definitely be "No expectations, high confidence". When all of us first joined Floorball, we set certain unnecessary expectations of ourselves, which rather than driving us forward, it has hindered our team's progress as we couldn't cope with these unhealthy expectations. However after Coach Jill's mental games preparation, we learnt that the key to playing the games well is to never let anything affect you mentally, and never lose your composure, with a quote I will always remember, "Just do your best and leave the rest", as we can't change things we can't control. With that, we managed to make huge improvements and I am really proud that my team has grown so much in this journey. From not being able to find the net in our first A Division games against NJC to scoring 6 goals against HCI, our team's fighting spirit and unwavering belief in each and every teammate will be a memory I will treasure deeply.
Stay tune for next week Team Spotlight, it might just be your team....
