Team Spotlight - ACJC Boys

This week on our Team Spotlight series on Post A’division 2016, we have the captain of Anglo-Chinese JC – Joshua to share with us his team’s experience in this 2016 A’Division Floorball campaign. We ask Joshua 3 questions and here is his response to our questions..

What is your team’s slogan?

Our team slogan is "One team one dream"

What values does your team uphold?

Our team values teamwork, as our team is as strong as our weakest link. Thus, we adopt the idea of to leave no man behind as without any extraordinary talents in our team we each had to pull our own weight and help to bring others to greater standards so that we can have a well-rounded team.

Having fun while playing the game is also what we value most. This has been reinforced by our coach and teachers who remind us why we play the sport because of our passion for the game as well as to have fun with a great bunch of players.

Finally perseverance is another key value we uphold. There were many ups and downs during the season, but it was important for us no matter what the score line or position we were in, to always play our hardest like true sportsman as we play for the school rather than for our own glory.

Tell us one thing you and your team have learnt from this 2016 season?

From this season we learnt that, not having exceptional players in our team doesn’t mean that we can’t challenge for a spot in the top 4. We came into this year A’Division with no clear cut star player but rather mostly as players with no experience before thus through sheer hard work and good coaching we managed to pull through this season.
