IVP 2016 (Men)

Happy New Year everyone… Hope you had an awesome New Year Celebration and are all ready for everything in 2016.. It’s going to be a fun and exciting year for everyone..

First post of 2016, first up we has the Inter-Varsity Polytechnic Tournament happening in a couple of week’s time. Who do you think will bring back the championship this year?

The tournament consists of a total of 6 teams, 3 teams from the University level and another 3 teams from the Polytechnic-ITE level. Long before this format every team in the both University and Polytechnic-ITE level were given a chance to participant in the IVP, since the change of format only the top 3 teams of SUNIG Tournament and POLITE Tournament can participant. That’s why there is only 6 teams.

Let’s dive into the Men’s Division first. Will TP boys be able to retain their title, and put up a good fight against all the other team that are eyeing for the title? TP boys managed to retain their POLITE title for the 3rd consecutive year, with that they earn their spot in the IVP 2016.

The top 3 winners of POLITE 2015 are TP, ITE and RP, and the top 3 winners of SUNIG 2015 are NUS, NTU and SIM. Teams are then split into 2 groups of 3. In Group A we have: NUS, ITE and RP and Group B we have: TP, NTU and SIM. The top 2 of each group will then advance into semi-finals.
