Innova Junior College Girls

This week, we had a short interview with the captain from Innova Junior College - Nurul Afiqah Suwandi (right) about her team's preparation for this year A Division tournament. Nurul is 18 years old and has been playing Floorball for more than a year as a goalkeeper.
Despite the tough draw in their group, the IJC girls shown great progress and improve comparing to the previous year. They have their goals set as simple as they could for every game that is not to concede more than double digit, which they managed to achieve every game except for one game. Their goal for this season was to score at least 3 goals for each match, regardless of what the outcome may be.
Under the close guidance of Coach May, the team has been training twice a week. Aside from court training, mental games workshop was also conduct to the team to ensure that they are ready not just physically but mentally as well.

When I ask Nurul to use one word that best describe her team she replied, “Determined. Although we don’t get to train in the hall often or play in many friendly, we give our best during training and encourage each other so we can achieve our goals.”
Let's give our fullest support to Innova Junior College Girls as they compete and represent their school for this year NSG A Division Floorball tournament.
Stay tune for our weekly post, as we will be featuring more teams that will be competing this year.
