River Valley High School Girls

This week, we had a short interview with the captains from River Valley High School - Westine Juay Wei Lin and Tan Sze Teng about her team's preparation for this year A Division tournament.
Westine and Sze Teng are 18 years old and have been playing Floorball for about 2 years since 2013. Westine plays as center and Sze Teng is a goalkeeper in their team.
Under the care and leadership of Coach Stella over the past few years, the RVHS Girls team set their team goal as to achieve top 4 in last year competition. With teamwork and perseverance, the girls finished off the season as 2nd runner-up. For this year, the team has been training hard with more intense physical training compared to last year, and self training apart from their usual court training knowing that it requires a lot of training to achieve their goal that is to once again clinch a spot in the top 4. Beyond that, they hope that the team will learn to play with each other and playing together as a team.

When I ask them to use one word that best describes their team, they replied: "Fighters. We are all fighting for the team in our own ways, no matter how big or small the effort may seem, no matter how tough the going gets."
Let's give our fullest support to River Valley High School Girls as they compete and represent their school for this year NSG A Division Floorball tournament.
Stay tune for our weekly post, as we will be featuring more teams that will be competing this year.
