River Valley High School Boys

As NSG B Division Floorball tournament coming to its end, it also means that NSG A Division will begin in April.

Once again, we are in the series of featuring teams in this blog on their prepartion for the upcoming season and how ready their team is to compete.

For this week, we kick start with River Valley High School Boys. We had a short interview with their captains - Leong Wei Yan (Right) and Sieh Yao Zhang (Left) on their team's preparation for this year A Division tournament. Both Wei Yan and Yao Zhang started playing Floorball in 2013 and playing in the position of Center and Defender respectively.

Despite the tough grouping last year with powerhouse RI and VJC in their group, the RVHS boys did really well to improve their previous years standing from last to 4th in their group table. With much improvement and growth, both captains and their team are training very hard, working on their basics and physical fitness. They are certain that their team will not stay stagnant at where they are, with more training constant improvement will be produce. With Coach Leng's close guidance and leadership the boys are looking positive, as they aim to finish top 2 in their table this season.

When I ask them to use one word that best describe their team, they replied: "Synergy. Only when we understand each other's abilities, can we strive for excellence together as one. We are not only developing each other's strength, but are also helping one another to overcome our individual weaknesses. We are only as strong as the weakest player in the team."

Let's give our fullest support to River Valley Hugh School Boys as they compete and represent their school for this year NSG A Division Floorball tournament.
