Direct and upfront best describe Coach Stella

This month we had a short interview with - Stella Chia Xinying. She is one of the coaches under 13SS Coaching team. Stella has 12 years of playing experience as a Forward and 9 year of coaching experience as a Floorball coach.

Stella picked up Floorball in Nanyang Polytechnic while she was pursuing her Diploma. The first impression Stella had for floorball was "fast and interesting". That's was the main reason Floorball caught Stella's attention during the CCA selection day in NYP. Stella's interest for Floorball quickly grew stronger into passion for the game, little did she know that her interest for Floorball has grew so much that she actually love the game.

She is currently playing for Albatross FC who competes in the ladies elite league in Singapore - SFL Division 1 as a forwad.

Stella truly believe a team or player should have the following values - initiative, passion, perseverance and excellence. She also mention that "It's only through hard work and resilience then we will be able to see results. Without passion and initiative it’s going to be a very tough journey, but with them it will be enjoyable and rewarding despite the result."

Stella also believe that students should posses courage to face up to fear, and the reason why they are playing and knowing that failure is not fatal.
